I think about you every day
at ten and two and four
If not for work and dreary chores
I’d do it so much more
I think about us in the park
It’s my favourite waste of time
You laughing at my silly jokes
as I watch your beauty shine
Showers come and soak my toes
We dash beneath the trees
Our nervous love-struck fingers brush
in delicious tender tease
Our hands entwined the sun returns
and sets our smiles alight
A bench is found beside the lake
We gaze with quiet delight
The air between us full of sighs
Our hearts so loudly beat
The magnetism of our souls
Draws our eyes to meet
Staring deep through pupils wide
A billion thoughts are shared
Captive in each other’s charms
Our hungry lips are paired
The universe recedes afar
Our taste is all we know
Passion blurs reality
Our senses all aglow
Persistent knocks upon the door
Subdue my reverie
and as enchantment turns to yearning ache

I wonder, do you sometimes think of me?
